      No it’s a cuprea Alocasia. That’s just my nickname for the plant

    My cuprea leaves are HUGE! And the colors in the newborn leaves are just breathtaking. ❤️

      That’s amazing!!! Any tips you could lend me? Mine is a rescue, lost almost all the old leaves and this was my first new leaf 🙏🏻 I’m hoping I can continue to help it thrive!

      I was afraid when I first got it, too. But got a moisture meter to learn when it liked to be watered, and now it gets watered when it’s around 20%. I got it around July 1, 2024, and it’s put out leaves like CRAZY! I keep it under a cheap grow light, give it basic liquid fertilized according to Planta’s schedule, repotted it a few weeks ago, and it’s just loving it.

      Oh, and during the repotting I saw a whole bunch of new corms sprouting under the soil!

    Wow they are beautiful!! Do you find they’re heavy feeders? And are they directly under grow lights or is there some distance? I heard they don’t love light as much as other Alocasia’s do
