I want an alocsia but I don't know which one to start with. I would love to have an alocsia frydex but I have heard that they are pretty difficult.Does anyone have any ideas?

By Frydek do you mean the actual variegated one or the Micholitziana (all green one)? If you have enough light, they are fairly simple and very hardy in my opinion. The ones I have in soil I let try out about 75% of the way; The ones I have in Pon, I even let the reservoir go dry at times. You will hear many of people say they will only have a few leaves at a time and will drop one when another comes in; If you supply it with tons of bright light than you will get a lot more leaves in my experience. Some of mine even get some direct sun. They are very hungry plants so you need to fertilize with each watering.

0 Me gustaPretty much the same care but variegated just needs more light being they lack chlorophyll to help them with photocynhesis. Hope that helps.
