Hello! I have three lovely alocasias, which are doing okay… but they’re not thriving. I’m really considering to moving them into leca and moss, but don’t want to disturb them and risk killing them! One has a very droopy yellow leaf that’s going to come off and another has a little bit of a sad one too. Any advice? I’m a fairly beginner plant mother but would love to explore leca and moss if it’s worth it
I tried it! I followed the Sydney Plant Guy video for one and the Jungle Haven video (both YouTube) for another, and both are doing well. One is leca and moss, another is pon-style semi-hydro and moss. I was worried about touching the roots too much but both have rooted very well. One thing I've noticed is they want more light than I thought and they are heavier feeders than I expected, so I make sure they don't go dry and I use more fertilizer than I do in some of my other semi-hydro setups.

좋아요 1개I have heard they are heavy feeders and you should fertilize often. That should help with the yellowing leaves issue.
