New leaf alert! 😍 She’s a lil deformed on one side, this leaf actually grew inside another completely white leaf that i carefully trimmed off for this beauty to come through ❤️
Crocodile philo… pretty obvious something is wrong. I don’t see anything moving on the leaves.. any ideas? It’s been fine since I got it in January and living in the same spot..issue started a couple weeks ago.
I have a love-hate relationship with this thing. One day she looks gorgeous the next day all the leaves have edema and are falling off. Had some water retention issues, so I finally swapped out her soil and now im doing a little experiment to see if she prefers Hydro or soil.
My guy is just. Losing leaves 😅. There were a few that were obviously dying so I pulled those off and it took no effort at all to pull the leaf off, so I went around checking the other leaves and the ones still on are the ones firmly still on the stem, but the rest came off so ridiculously easy I’m worried something is wrong 😭 my zebra plant already died and I don’t want another one of my plant babies to die 🥺 also, this guy doesn’t have a name yet so if y’all have idea lemme know 🥰
My Brasil has a few vines with upper areas turning brown, but the leaves look fine and there’s new growth coming in. None of the lower parts of any vines look this way. Wondering if I should be concerned. I’m using a well draining soil and I am careful not to water too often. I’m also using a small grow light to supplement because the brightest window in my apartment is northeast facing with a long overhang and another building blocking a lot of light. The plant seems healthy otherwise, I just think it’s weird that a few parts of the vine are browning and that’s it. Note- You’ll see some white spots on the leaves because I have been treating it with a baking soda spray for powdery mildew once a week for a couple weeks, and using a low speed fan for a few minutes to make sure the leaves dry after treating. I’m pretty sure at this point the white spots are the baking soda and not the mildew, but I won’t really know until I do another 2 treatments. It seems to be improving overall, but if I’m causing a problem I want to adjust before I hurt my philo further.
Must... remain... calm... 🫨😍
Got yet another one!! Welcome, Rio😇
Pest problem! I don’t know what these pests are, I can’t seem to identify them. I’ve tried the classic home-made recipe of water and vinegar but no luck. I don’t want it add soil or fertiliser until it’s solved. Planta only allows me to upload photos, so I tried my best. I have. Great video of them crawling but I can’t post that unfortunately. But they look almost silver and oblong. I think they fly? I’m not sure. I usually see them crawling around the pot in the soil. Anyone who can identify them and help get rid of them, please advise!
Repotted the mother plant of my silver sword philo. I went from a nursery pot to an 8 inch pot. The soil is a mix of indoor, orchid and perlite. Since the repotting, all the leaves have curled in and it looks super sad. Plants says it’s under watered? Thoughts? TIA.
Love my philodendron leaves❤️always exciting to see the new ones
Help me take care of her!!!
Just switched Miss Mitzi from a mostly-mulch soil to a more nutrient-rich fern fiber blend. I hope to see her perk up soon.
How would I propagate this? I had cutting that isn’t doing well. I planted in a well draping soil pearlite mix. There’s been no growth and 2 leaves fell. Any advices for propagating something like this?
Adding ‘Black Gold’ to the collection!
hey! I've never owned a plant from the Phil family (let alone 2?!) and want to make sure these rescues thrive. Kind advice is wanted and much appreciated:)
Harold never disappoints. He's my 2nd white wizard after thrips claimed my 1st last year.
saw someone post their tortum here yesterday, added it to my wishlist, and BAM — walk into my fav local greenhouse and there she was! first time they ever stocked them there. took her home & potted her up! grow baby grow!
