Hello everyone! I have a pink princess I need some help with. I got her back in November from Lowe’s and after it got acclimated to my apartment I put her on a moss pole and she was THRIVING and giving me pretty big leaves. Over the last week she was trying to push out a new leave and it looked rotted. Over night it started unfurling and it is so tiny compared to the recent ones and the end of the leaf is super crispy. I have it next to a humidifier and it probably gets around 6-7 hours of light from my growth light. Any suggestions? The 1st picture is from two weeks ago, the second picture is the newest leaf.

Hello I’m (fairly) new to taking care of philodendrons and I’m looking to get one in the near future. I have is a silver sword which has been a sweetheart to me but very dramatic. And I hear a lot that philos are pretty hard and dramatic so I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions or favorite philos to share that will get me looking forward to getting more in the future (Edit: I technically have 3 philos but two are propagations so I don’t count them yet)

Hi all 🌱 I’m nervous to ruin a good thing going on for my philodendron birkin. Should I repot it? Do I separate the two growths? I bought this plant as is around September ‘23.

New Philodendron mum here (well he’s a few months in my care, mid October’23) and I think my “Pheel” is perfectly happy. The question is do I help the new leaves to break free or do I let them escape on their own?

I am rescuing this Pink Princess from root rot, I decided the only way to save her is to cut and propagate, I made sure there are two nodes in the water, the plant gets plenty of light, and she’s already putting out a new leaf! Any tips? Much appreciated <3

Thanks to those who helped me!!! I obviously re-potted which was needed, I LOVED seeing all those roots, how big can this grow?? Also, should I trim the dead ends or just leave them?

Excited to see the new leaf unfurl but what would cause the brown spots? Have only had for about a month and it’s still in the nursery soil. I don’t think I’m overwatering and the peat based soil stays moist quite a while. I plan to change it to a chunkier mix soon.

my glad hand put out a new sprout from the pot and this is the first leaf. Do you think this could be variegation?

I got this pink princess back in December and it’s finally starting to unwrap a new leaf! But it’s got this long strand coming from the tip of it that got me questioning. Is this normal?

I got this reverted white knight a year or two ago as a project to see if I could bring back the variegation. Well lookie here! That’s not nothing! Honestly I wasn’t sure I would ever see any white, I was just having fun trying lol. I’m extra pleased to have a tiny sign of progress

Hey y’all! I got a baby Silver Sword a few days ago that came very beat up due to poor packaging. How can I get this little starter in better shape?

Hi please help, I really don’t want this to die!! It doesn’t have any drainage, is that my problem? I water it every 10 days

New to philodendrons! Not sure what’s wrong with my ring of fire, but it’s been repotted, it’s getting plenty of water and has been sitting in my window. Any thoughts?

I’ve noticed some of the new leaves on my lemon lime philodendron coming in reddish. Does anyone know what this is from and whether or not it is cause for concern? Overall he seems pretty happy and puts out a lot of new growth.

Found this white wizard philodendron for $20 at the grocery store. I love it so much!! It did come with what looks like little spider mite webs so it is completely isolated from my collection of 40+ plants. I made sure to spray with a mix of alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, castille soap, neem oil, and warm water. Fingers crossed that gets rid of the mites!! This is the first philodendron in my collection so tips are greatly appreciated. It’s by the window and has a grow light since the days are still shorter.

My pink princess has been unfolding a second leaf and it is striped!! Not sure what it means but I think it’s cute! 😊 (It has unfolded a bit more to reveal a second stripe)

Has anyone seen this on a Prince of Orange? It goes down the whole stem in the same colors.
