In general, how often are we supposed to fertilize in the winter months? This is the fertilizer that I use. I guess I thought we were only supposed to fertilize only during growing season. Any help would be appreciated.☺️
Hey everyone, hope your new year's starting well. There is a strange thing going on with my philodendron, Idk whether to be concerned or not: I just recently noticed some strange markings on the underside of the new leaf, the top turned slightly brownish too. It looks pretty healthy otherwise, popping up new leaves and buds, but this one wierds me out. Appreciate any advice on this!
Help! First time philo mican parent here and I’m wondering if this is spider mite damage? I just purchased and I’m wondering if I can/should save her and how to do so?
3 latest philodendrons in my collection 😊 White Wizard ("Sauroman") - Was cheap at the garden shop?... But also looked like it had some spider mites. Cleaned, treated, and doing well. The stem looks so cool!!! Ring of Fire ("Pele") - Beautiful orange/pink/green leaves El Choco Red ("El Capitan Rojo") - In love with the velvet leaves that almost look like they have a metallic sheen in the light. 😍 Slightly terrified as I googled these and they can get HUGE 😂 I've never done a moss pole, something I'll probably attempt with some of these. The other Philo we have is a Brasil and it's in our bathroom with the worst light. It's from home Depot and I have never repotted it... And it is beautiful and growing like crazy 😂 it's been in there for months - I'm impressed.
Hi, I am new to indoor plants, I know this is a philodendron but not sure which one and is it usually this leggy ?. Thank you
Does anyone else get this message with their Gabby? I realize it cut off. It's saying it's too bright.
Talk about babies having babies... yeesh. This Billietiae is going off with the tiny sprouts
What is your favorite brand of fertilizer for strawberry shake plant? And also for monsteras? Can I use the same fertilizer for both? If you have pictures of the fertilizer box, that would be great.
It’s watering day
Could anyone please assist? My Brasil is been losing leaves left and right, I’ve bottom watered them, regular watering as well, but doesn’t seem to get better
Rescued this plant that one of the neighbors threw out around the middle of November. Cleaned her up and repotted her. Less than two months later and she’s flourishing!
New leaf ⚪️✨
I noticed my philodendron white princess is starting to grow a bit funky, which probably means she needs more light. When do philos need to be repotted? Also any propagation tips? I think she's ready. Any advice is welcome, thanks!
**Help** Just bought a neon and Brazil philodendron from my local nursery a week ago. They potted them for me that day and I did my first watering a few days ago. I am completely new to taking care of plants. Do they look okay? I’m terrified of root rot because a lot of my plants died that way. They are about 5ft away from a north facing window and this app says it’s not bright enough. I don’t want to kill them and want to make sure I’m caring for them properly. I got grow lights to help with the light but not sure if I need it or how long to keep it on or how far away the light should be from the plant so I don’t burn the leaves. I know it’s a lot of questions. Any advice will help and be much appreciated.
I’m fairly certain that the new leaf has rolled up in itself. I didn’t even know this was a thing! Can I fix this? It feels hard… ***edit*** I carefully helped this leaf (new pic added); it was poking inside another leaf. Once I took care of that, she easily unraveled. Not sure if I was supposed to to mess with it, but it was stuck for over a month.
I got this new philodendron burgandy today and was wondering if this was rust. If so how can I take care of it?
New leaf on my baby sprout stalk of Philo Glad-hand. Does this mean my plant is variegated!?
I hope this helps me be a good momma to this snowdrift philo; I made her her own plant hanger so she can sit above my fish tank, right under the light ^.^
I don't know if anyone remembers, but a while back I made a post on the reason this guy hasn't grown much and would keep browning with each new growth. I downsized to this pot, and I'm proud to announce we have our first healthy looking new growth. I'm very excited and I just wanted to thank all of you. In that time, I also added a plant bell over it and a dish of water under it to trap humidity until recently when I got a new humidifier to help all my little guys. Has been a slow process, but surely coming up!
