Hello. Looking for some advice on when to replant my Florida ghost mint and my spiritus sancti. They are growing quite well, and Iām trying to figure out if I should up the pot size.

Okay talk to me. Iām stepping nervously into my next stage of plant caretaking knowledge. Iāve spent the last 2-3 years going from killing every single plant to: - can I keep this small handful of plants alive? - I donāt care how cute the pot is. Iām not buying it if it doesnāt have a drainage hole. - Okay, letās try fertilizing. - OK touching the new leaf thatās unfolding is clearly a no-no because now itās in my hand, broken off from the plantā¦ā¦ - learning that 24/7 grow lights is not great (and honestly, I shouldāve known that one because hello it gets dark at nightā¦) 𤣠- propagating and learning more about water and humidity and temperature. And now Iām moving onto the soil questions step. I feel like a lot of my plants could really do better if I understood the soil more. I started with just potting soil, I recently purchased a succulents and cactus soil. But thatās about where I am at. I donāt like when my soil looks really damp or moldy when Iāve barely watered it. Or roots that look dead when I donāt understand why. Iāve recently killed THREE BRAND NEW pothos/philodendrons because apparently I got too cocky or they were lemons or I donāt know, but two of them were my special 40th birthday present to myself and I AM NOT happy with myself. Those particular losses were felt harder. š I kind of have a separate post that Iāve been trying to work on for awhile with ALL my Pothos and Philos questions but I donāt have the energy for that right now. š Iām hoping to get two things answered. 1) out of all of these items Iāve looked at on Amazon, which ones do you all mix together to make your own special soil mixtures? Iām hoping I donāt actually have to purchase every single one of these. š¤·š»āāļø And 2) if the answer is not the same as #1, which of these items do you mix together just to put into the plastic moss pole? I have my philodendron silver sword on a store bought moss pole, and I had absolutely no idea how to use it. It wasnāt until I watched videos like a week ago where people were using the plastic containers filled with moss, and explaining how the aerial roots will literally grow into the moss that I realized I knew nothing. My plant is twisty tied to the moss pole yāall. š¤£š¤£š¤£ āoh itās hollow down the middle so that you can pour water in there? Thatās news to me.ā Ugh I embarrass myself. š¤£š¤¦š»āāļøš¤·š»āāļø
My white wizard is sizing down dramatically, any suggestions? Right now itās on a stake, should I switch to a moss pole? Any guidance is greatly appreciatedš
What is this philodendron? I bought it at HD about a month ago. It was sold by Vigoro. I have Burke Marx varg. and a juvie Paraiso V. but it doesnāt look exactly like them
Who doesn't love a new leaf?! Gotta say the Philodendron Giganteum BlizzardšØļø is easily my favorite Philo subspecies!
I found the perfect pot for my orange marmalade.
Just found this beauty at Walmart for $7!!! Ahhh they had so many Phildendrons to choose from but this one was GORGEOUS!! Happy plant mama!!
This thing was barely holding on when I got it. Now seems to be doing good!! And has little babies popping up! Tips for keeping it upright?? Just a taller support stand? What about moving it inside and out as the weather gets warmer?
I just scored this absolutely stunning Philodendron Birkin yesterday at Targetā¦.. š„²š„¹ I named her Lucky because I feel so lucky to have found such a beautiful, firm plant with new growth forming. She was in a 6 in planter and I moved her up to 8 today. Ready to see this baby thrive š¤©
Legit cried before chopping down my three year old pink princess. She hit my ceiling and needed a chop. To be honest, I didnāt know what I was doing when I first got her. The goal is to prop and regrow with better soil, support, and overall care so she grows bigger and better than ever. Just had to share with people who understand. My friends all think Iām silly.
She was doing well and has taken a nose dive in the last 6 weeks. I check before watering. Under a grow light. Away from drafts. Help please.
The last couple leaves my PPP has grown have been light pink turned to brown. Am I letting it get too dry between waterings maybe? Itās in chunkier soil in a clay pot. And is under a grow light for 12 hours. Maybe the light is too direct?
Just got a pink princess philodendron and a white princess philodendron please share any tips or tricks the help them thrive
I rescued Philāthis Philodendron, a few months back (mid-Novemberish). He was in very rough shape at the time, and admittedly, I just assumed heās a Burle Marx because thatās what it looks like. However, looking at this new leaf(s) thatās getting ready to do its thing I feel like I might be crazy because š¤ is it VARIEGATED?!?!š§ š¤Æ Or is it just very light because that white part will end up being the petiole? Am I wild?!? š lolš Is it a random sport?!? Is this NOT a Burle Marx?!? Halp! š©š
Does a variegated green Congo need to be staked or is it like say a Birkin that is what do they call it, self heading?? iāve been googling, but I think Iām asking the question wrong because I canāt find the answer.TIA
š¤I'm so excited she's pushing out a pink leaf!!! I didn't know she could do that!!
Was so terrified to cut my Pink Princess but sometimes plant parenting is uncomfortable. But she is doing her thing and Iām learning along the way.
We have a new baby š±ššæš„°
Hehjeheheheheherheheh yall look!!! Sheās so pretty! She needs a lil humidity but sheās so pretty and already pushing out another one!
Dude. Hurry up.
