Hi guys, I am new to this site but, I must say, this probably my favorite plant to grow indoors. If you are looking for a fantastic place to pick up a nice variety, I’m in TN so hopefully your Lowes also has them. Very reasonable and they are still in plastic pots so not an up charge for a pot. I am not affiliated with them at all. Just sharing with my other plant lovers. The last plant I pictured is over 48 years old. I know it doesn’t look it but with a recent move we rescued pieces. It’s coming back nicely. I’m guessing most of you belong to Planta, I really like this site but, I use it as a reminder. I still stick my finger in the dirt to make sure it needs watering. Some of the overwatering I have seen on this site might benefit from that. Anyway, I’m happy to be here. Sorry for the long post.

These leaves just turned yellow on my plant! D: They’re in the same location, but the stems are not in the same grouping (idk if that means anything). I watered her on Tuesday Can someone help me figure out what’s happening??

My two volatile and bratty kids. I moved one to the window and he threw a fit, lost his new leaf and might be doing ok now..: the other has taken over the corner and I don't want to move him again because he is finally bouncing back. Any tips for my Orange prince? He was overwatered and got mad. Should I move him again? He was in terrible shape away from the window. 😑

Got this little baby over a week ago and he is doing well. I am afraid to water him or move him :-(

still new to philodendrons, just bought this and noticed this water filled boil on one of the leaves, was thinking about cutting the leaf but i wanna know what it is and possibly what caused it

My white princess philo leaves seems to be curling inward 😔 what can I do? New plant mom here…

This is labeled as a daybreak philodendron, and I don’t think that’s an actual type of philodendron… any ideas on what it actually is? TIA ☺️

Hey there! Been trying to propagate this guy— i snipped & put him in water about 4 days ago and haven’t seen any progress. He’s been sitting on my window sill btw:) am I doing anything wrong? or simply impatient lol

Hey plant friends, help me out with today’s conundrum. I’ve come to realize that what I thought was a white knight may be a white princess. He’s displaying a pink spot. I’m okay with that, I got it for a steal at a flea market. What I’m stuck on is, everywhere I look it says/shows the white princess has a green stem. The stem of this guy is clearly not green. What philodendron do you guys think I have here?

Does anybody have any tips for philo. Mamei, I’ve had mine for a few months now and she’s growing quickly but the leaves aren’t dark or silver at all they’re always this like green ?? She’s had a repot and is in a nice chunky aroid mix and gets watered when a lost dry.

Roots are coming up from soil. Do I need to repot the plant?

First new leaf (second pic) since getting this guy about two months ago! First pic is what the plant looked like for the entirety of those two months! It only started growing once I got a grow light in that room. I was worried he would be stagnant forever 😅 Happy planting 🌱

hello! how often to you all water you split leaf philos? i’ve followed a strict schedule but the leaves on mine are yellowing.. help!

I got a Tortum! I’ve been eyeing these guys for quite some time, but I just couldn’t fork over $50 for one (I was too busy paying twice that for a Thai constellation lol). I found one for $12 today!!! It wasn’t even a box store, it was at a local plant nursery! I’m stoked. I still can’t believe it was so affordable. That nursery usually knows exactly how much they can charge for rare plants. I’m super happy though. And it’s relatively big and mature compared to the more expensive ones I’ve seen elsewhere! Now I really actually have to stop buying new plants lol. I recently moved in with my boyfriend and we truly have no more room for plants. But I had to get in that one last wishlist plant… for now 😉

I only use the Planta watering recommendations as a guide to check on the plants. But how does everyone use the fertilizer suggestions? Are they pretty spot on? If not, then how do you determine when to fertilize your plants? Thanks in advance!
