I switched my silver sword to pon in August. I guess itās safe to say he likes it.

Is is my fault that her new leaf is very rounded and not straight like the rest? Does she need more light? Plant food? Iāve been following the apps schedule and thereās a humidifier by her. She looks really healthy and strong. Sheās also with child so ik sheās happy. Anything I can do to make sure this doesnāt happen to her new born baby leaf lol?
I feel like quite suddenly my ring of fire looks awful. Cut off a couple of the lower leaves tonight that didnāt look like they were great so it could spend more energy elsewhere. I moved it to the window. Not sure why this particular one is being so finicky. Iāve had really good luck with all my other philodendrons. At one point on that reddish growth in the middle, I looked over and the top half of it was black, so I cut that off and unwrapped it and the red underneath looks healthy. Then today I was looking at it, and the leaves look on their way to bad. The photo on my nightstand is when I first got it on December 4th. So itās not very old. The other three leaf photos are from tonight. Am I just being paranoid and itās fine?
Update on this 2 year old plant š±
This was sold to me as a small cutting with the label āPhilodendron Jose Buono,ā but after seeing other Jose Buonos recently, I donāt think thatās what this is. Planta struggled to ID it correctly. Can anyone tell me what type of philodendron I have here? š¤š¼ My best guess so far is a Burle Marx?
Iāve been looking forward to this nubby leaf to unfurl for WEEKS! Ever since I put it in kokedama and now Iām really sad because Iām out of town this weekend and Iām going to miss filming the timelapse of it opening up because my iPad will be with me in Maui š©š« Am I the only one who hates to miss the unfurling of the leaves? š
Does anyone know what is happening to my philodendron :( These holes keep spreading and one of the new leaves turned blackish and fell off.
hi! i got this lil guy back in june of last year, repotted in october (root bound) and itās been doing pretty good, putting out new leaves regularly and i havenāt had to keep such a close eye on it until recently. this newest leaf has a brown tip to it which is concerning because the last few leaves havenāt had that issue (a few of the older ones near the base do, but they have been like that since i purchased). i keep my humidity around 55-65% so iām not sure what could be happening. any advice or tips are greatly appreciated! <3 *first pic: brown tipped leaf, second pic: whole plant
Went to Target for body wash, couldnāt find it, but look what I did find! I canāt wait to clean her up, and quarantine her for a bit. Targetās collection was very nice.
My golden goddess is getting very tall. How do I keep her upright? I have a couple stakes already but sheās at 3ft 10in and growing š³
What the heck is going on with all this fungus on my Brasil?? Is this okay?
I guess you could say I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today. A quick trip to Home Depot to grab a Birkin and a Rojo Red, I feel sooo much better! šš„°š
Before I purchase, can anyone tell me if this is actually a pink micans? Google is giving me mixed information on whether or not this plant is chemically treated to make it pink or if itās something that with bright enough light will stay pink.
New micans parent! Saw this on one of the leaves. Is it variegated or is there something wrong?
Hi all repotted this little beauty about a month ago. I did add holes on the bottom and I even have a try for the water to go to for drainage. I make sure to empty it so itās not sitting in water. But Iām now seeing these yellowish leaves. What am I doing wrong? It doesnāt feel over water on the top. I mean the soul is moist but not like itās all wet. I havenāt watered it recently. I do mist it and I kind of follow the tips from the site. It sits in these hold pots. Please help. Sheās my first plant and I donāt want to loose her. Iām supposed to do liquid fertilizer today.
Iām not convinced this is a Xanadu.
I am shook
Just completed another chop and prop of P. splendid. First pic is June 2024 when it arrived, second is the bottom leaf pre-chop next to the newest leaf, which measures 17ā. Honestly doesnāt even slow down in winter; easily my favorite philo. Biggest con is that it has long internodal spacing so it needs chop and extends every 3-4 months, but Iād way rather that than a super slow grower any day.
This is the first leaf on my florida beauty to look like this. Hopefully the one behind it will be the same.
