Sorry for the ppp spam but one of the cuttings I took a few weeks ago is pushing out a new leaf in water!! Omg! Did not anticipate this at all! šŸ˜€šŸ„³

Love my PPP but I recently had to chop her top 3 leaves off as they were getting smaller and smaller. Repotted as hadn’t done that after owning her for 3-4 months. Root system was smaller than I anticipated so put her into a smaller pot with fresh compost and orchid bark. I wasn’t too sure what caused the smaller leaves so moved her to a brighter spot… room with south and west facing windows but not in direct sun till the end of the day. I’m hoping she starts to push out a new leaf soon but I don’t know šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø any advice? X

I just won this beauty this evening! I’m debating if I should let it continue to trail or if I should add a moss pole and let it climb. Any suggestions?? Personal experiences either way?

Hi all, I got this plant a little over a month ago and have been watering when the soil is dry. It has been doing well and producing new leaves but recently i've noticed these yellow brown spots on two of the leaves and not sure what's causing it. Any help is appreciated! (The plant tag just says "philodendron" but i think its a golden violin)

I purchased a white wizard and the white is turning brown. Is the only reason because it can’t photosynthesize?

Does anyone have any good ways on keeping your moss poles wet? I have a Heart Leaf Philo and it’s trying to grow on a moss pole but the air here is too dry so it doesn’t stay wet. Any ideas?

Hi again. This is in reference to an earlier post. I opened the health a little bit and there is, in fact, rot but there is also new growth so my question is do I cut the rotten parts off or let them resolve themselves? Thanks for any advice.

I’m still having trouble finding the sweet spot with this plant 😭😭 All my new leaves have came out stuck & broken in the process. I let them grow but eventually cut them off bc they just look ugly. I’m thinking it could be a humidity issue bc the original owner had it in a greenhouse & i unfortunately cannot provide that🄲

Hello. I’m new to this group and to plant parenthood and hope someone can advise me on the state of my Philodendron (Phil Hartman). He stays outside most of the year (I’m in zone 8b) and humidity runs around 90% right now. Planta tells me to water once a month but that just seems too little (so I sometimes overrule). Can any of you fine people tell me what causes this and what I can do to make him better? Many thanks!

My PPPhas been struggling to get this leaf out for over a week. Shall I open the sheath a little more (leave the leaf itself alone) or shall I leave it be? Either way, I don’t want the leaf to tear 🄺

Hi all…need some help with my Rio. He’s growing really long and I want to cut him and propagate to make a fuller plant. The stem closest to the pot is a lot thinner than the new growth. Am I better to plant my nodes/cuttings in water first or plunk it right back into the soil of the same pot? Would love some advice…I don’t want to kill him…he’s my favourite…I love the leaves! šŸƒ
