So maybe like a week ago or so my Billie spit out a new leaf. It’s the first new leaf since purchase. The new leaf is the one pointing straight down. Is that normal? Is it because the leaf is so big? It might just be the biggest leaf on the plant, but I have some others that might just be bigger or smaller than it. All the others are horizontal. Yes it’s a dark picture. It’s 1:20am lol

Hi guys!!! I've had this heart leaf philodendron for maybe a year, & I recently gave her new soil. But I've been noticing these odd discolorations when light shines through the leaves? It's not on every single leaf, mostly on the bottom leaves of some of her vines... is this something to be worried about? The affected leaves look a little funky when looking directly at them, but they seem to be pretty happy overall. What's up with her?? Thank you!!!

Hey y’all!! I got this plant awhile ago from my grandmother who couldn’t take care of it anymore. It LOVES my plant room and has been growing like a weed but I haven’t ever seen this before…. I did have to help it (it was crinkling because it was stuck in the sheath) and I have found that there looks to be 2 leaves coming out of the same shoot??? Has anyone had this happen to them? Should I be worried or she just a really happy plant? Thanks folks!

My Philodendron silver swords leaves are turning yellow and dying off and I don’t know why. It is still growing nice big new leaves at a regular pace and only the older leaves are dying but more and more keep dropping and I don’t know why. It is under a grow light for 12 hours a day because it is in a shelf with minimal natural light. It’s in a clear pot and its roots look healthy. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong please help!

Question for the collective, I am curious if I should cut my Florida back, a restart if you will. I want to encourage bigger leaves, kinda feel it’s grown too high too fast, and leaf production at the top is smaller. I can propagate the cuttings, and hope to stimulate bigger growth after adding the moss pole. It’s now starting to show signs of growth after successful repot. I am in no rush to cut it, but I am curious if it would only help. May I please ask thoughts and opinions? Thank you 🙏🏻

Hello! I’ve had this lovely philodendron minima for about a year and a half now and it continues to grow. I added some trellis for it to climb around probably 10 months ago now and it has been happy. I noticed in the past month it has put out 2 of these green growths towards the top of the trellis (pointing at 1 in 2nd photo). Are they aerial roots (or something else?) and it is trying to support itself more securely to the trellis as it gets even larger? It has always popped out new leaves at the very ends of itself so I figured the growths must be for support and not new leaf growth.

Hi there 🙂 I’m confused .. new leaves are brown and look very weak 🫤 sits in coco coir and perlite mix, but I think, I made a mistake, not adding moss and pine bark. Can I have an advice, please? Thank you
