Found a White Knight, and isn’t he just beautiful!
I thought this was a philo but planta thinks birds nest fern. Any thoughts?
The huge split-leaf philo living by my trailer is so cool I had to share. I’m in Florida and this baby has survived hurricanes, freezes, etc. I don’t do a single thing and she’s thriving ✨ over 5ft tall and wide each and theres at least 2 of them in there! I should start charging rent.
Anyone able to identify this philo from Lowe's?
PLEASE HELP ME DIVIDE MY PPP AT THE ROOTS (if that’s possible)! I need to strap her to a moss pole but there are two different plants so I’d like to divide them up and replants them pile them both or at least the bigger one. I have carefully found each sides roots but they add connected by a big root/stem at the middle. Can I cut this down the center since they each have many, many roots, or what! Thanks!! 2 pics below, Caitlin
Does anyone know what’s going on with my Pothos? Just today, I noticed these two leaves were discolored, almost as if the colors were fading, as you can see. Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be? TIA! PS. Watering schedule – I only water if my wooden stake says so. Fertilizer – I use Plant Juice by Elm Dirt with every watering. I also use a few other additives common to plant people. Light – this plant sits in a north window that gets no direct sun, but it is fairly bright. Pests – I can’t see anything to write home about…😉! Fungus – I use a systemic fungicide with every watering.
New baby! I got this Silver Sword Philo yesterday. It’s wobbly in the pot, so I think I need to repot it. Any tips or tricks in how to care for Excalibur would be much appreciated!!
My very beautiful silver sword 💚💚💚💚
my first pink princess!!! 🩷any tips from pros? her name is princess philli 😆
I’m a fairly new plant parent, I’ve had my PPP for about a year. Went from a very slow growth in a one window room with grow lights, to a much brighter indirect sun window in my new house. She’s growing a lot now. I’m wondering if anyone has tips for how to get her to grow bigger leaves? Should she be staked on a moss pole at this point? Thanks for any help!
just sharing this little vignette that’s home to my philodendron narrow!! (i think it's a narrow) (i got it from hone depot) this is my first time using a grow light (i’m new to keeping plants alive for more than a few weeks, lol), it’s about 8in away from the top of the plant and full intensity for 12 hours. feel free to share any feedback y’all have about that plan :)
Hello plant friends I’m going out of town in April for 2 days. I would like to know should I have my daughter drop by and turn my humidifier on one of my favorites Miss Prissy?
Hello all. Could someone help me to measure the right amount of needed water for my philodendron based on the size of the pot and/or the plant and/or other factors? Unfortunately, my pot does not have a drainage hole.
This is my favorite philodendron so far. I'm a recovering plant killer 🤣, and my sister got into plants a couple of years ago. I have tried, both as a teenager and an adult, to keep plants, but I either overwatered or underwatered them. After my ADHD diagnosis, I decided I didn't want any more chores. But the Planta app helps immensely, so I started my "recovery" as a plant parent. I love plants with the lemon lime variegation, so I picked up this little lady at the Blue store last week. She's growing quickly! I see so many more nodes and offshoots on her than when I purchased her. And her colors are so vibrant.
Got this small Florida Beauty from my favorite nursery the other day. The leaves seem sad but I can't tell if there's nothing wrong and I'm just nervous about it or if there's a watering/light issue happening. Any advice/tips/help is appreciated, thanks!
Hello, plant friends. It’s time to repot my favorite plant and I am a little nervous. I could use some help: 1. Plastic pot or grow bag? (I’m new to the non-woven grow bags but seem like a good idea) 2. Soil mix and ratios (so many mixed answers on Google) 3. Planting depth (its stems are “pinched” plant is droopy) 4. Water directly after but wait to fertilize? 5. Is it better to propagate? (I prefer to keep the band together but I’ll do what’s best) Any other tips or tricks are well appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Anyone have large crawler pot suggestions? (Ammend to say, where youve bought them from, i cant seem to find any locally) The glorious and gloriosum are going hammmmmm and need a repot. But finding a decent sized long pot seems impossible
My new pink princess marble not too sure the difference between it and the original but super excited 💕
Hey y’all! I’m new to Planta, but not to plants! Philodendrons are one of my favorites. Hoping to learn from you, and see all of the beautiful plants you have.
My gorgeous el choco red! New cover pot on watering day ☺️
