Do all philodendron paraíso verdes variegate? I’ve had mine since it was just a cutting and have waited and waited to see some variegation but nothing. Starting to feel like if it hadn’t already then it won’t. Any thoughts?

As far as I know, variegation on this plant is pretty stable. Maybe try moving it to a spot with more light? Or even more drastic is give it a chop. Maybe the new growth will come out variegated.

I agree - mine started to produce more variegation once I moved to a brighter location. (In my case under a grow light)

I’ll give it a shot! Are you thinking more bright indirect light? Thanks for the recommendations!

Has it ever been variegated? They do not just pop up, it will show variegation from the first plantlet leaves. It isn't a man made cultivar, they came from the wild like this, so a stable genetic. I've seen them less variegated, but never absolutely no variegation. I'd question if it was a pv if its never been. ..... on a side note.. Reverting is almost always a low light issue.

I’ve never had it variegate! Nor was the plantlet I received variegated. I guess I’ll try upping the light and see if anything comes out of that change. Thanks for the info!

Yea that is really strange. I've seen some with like a less varigated leaf or two. But never zero variegation on anything. I would definitely up the light. The current leaves won't change, but your next leaves, may if it is a case of revert. Try and make sure the light is on the area that is producing growth points. Worse case you could do what Mr suggested and cut it back to encourage new growth. I'd leave it in the higher light for a month before you do that though.

      There’s a good chance they didn’t sell you a variegated cutting/starter plant. It’s still a beautiful plant!

I have mine under a grow light and it is doing so well. It needs lots of bright light.
