Got this cutie today! I don't think that new leaf can be saved unfortunately, but i got it from a supermarket, so i didn't expect much better. told myself i wouldn't repot it immediately, but the soil was SO compact and absolutely soaked. wasn't even potting soil, just straight dirt, so here we are with new soil. any tips on care?
Bright light Water when the soil is dry. You may have to help open new leaves emerging.

What is a good way to help it open? I have a marmalade and the new leaves are taking awhile to open and I can see that a small part of the new leaf looks translucent. Any thoughts on that? Thank you🪴
1 like Oh, and I forgot to mention to mist the leaf so it doesn’t rip opening
0 likes I think the translucent part you’re talking about is the sleeve of the leaf which will later detach from it I usually like to slide my finger and just kinda lift the leaf up
