I also believe it’s been underwatered, the roots are quite thin and brown, should I repot/propagate?
0 Me gustaNo smelly roots so definitely not rot
0 Me gustaHumidity is important and a plastic pot might be better terracotta pulls moisture and you’ll need to water more often. WHEN you repot it.
0 Me gustaOkay lovely! I’m thinking I’ll just put it back in the pot it’s already in, it’s plastic, but remove any dry roots if that’s even necessary? I’m pretty new to this whole sick plant thing!
0 Me gustaAnd how long ago was recently? It could be stressed from changing environments.
0 Me gustaTo be fair I only got it about a week ago! It was already in relatively bad shape when I got it but it was only £15 so I couldn’t say no! Hahaha
0 Me gustaDon’t remove roots unless they’re slimy or smell bad
0 Me gustaOkay thank you!! That’s super helpful! I’ll leave it alone pot wise!
0 Me gustaHave you fertilized it? Sometimes a little fertilizer helps if they’re stressed
0 Me gustaYeah I gave it some!:) do you think I should snip the dried up, unraveled new growth?
0 Me gustaYes
1 me gustaThese are what I do with sick plants. Just be patient and observe. Best of luck to you!
0 Me gustaYou’re amazing!! Thank you so much:))
0 Me gustaIt doesn’t look horrid btw.
1 me gustaThank you!! I was mostly concerned about the brown new growth but hopefully snipping it will encourage it to push out some more!:)
1 me gustaThis happens to me sometimes when a new plant it settling in. I would just cut it off and it will put out a new growth point
