Hi guys! I’ve had this babe since September and she has gotten very long and is very healthy. I added some propagations at some point to make it fuller but they just aren’t growing as fast as the main stem. It’s put out only 2 leaves since October and they are significantly smaller than the main stem too. Do I need to separate? Or maybe go up a pot size? I have not repotted since I added the propagations and I don’t really remember how the roots were (this was my first plant baby). I’m only hesitant to disturb and look at the roots because the main stem is thriving so well.

    looks like maybe nutrient deficiency, based on how the leaves get smaller as the stem gets longer. they're supposed to remain the same size if not become larger. you need to fertilize

      I did a couple weeks ago, could it already be time? Also I will note that when I was gifted this plant, the gifter had a stick inside that the leaves were growing up against but I removed because it was getting too long. I read that the leaves grow much larger when growing up. Is that right?

      yes! pothos are climbers. you should fertilize about once a month in the warmer months. could it maybe be a little too dark where it is? what direction does your window face

    Do not repot! When u grow props in water or moss they develop water roots. When moving those roots to soil, they will dry up if you don’t keep it consistently moist for 2 weeks to acclimate them to the soil. So if you didn’t acclimate those props to soil before putting them in there & the soil dried out @ all, then the roots are probably dried up or dead. If this is the case you’ll wanna remove those props & either start over or get new props

    Also, if you’d cut that main stem she’d grow more stems/ new growth.

    Or if you just stuck the props right into the soil, that’s not gonna work either. When you take “wet sticks” (cuttings w/ no leaves) & try to grow them in dirt, the dirt shouldn’t really dry out completely. & established pothos plants like to dry out. So mixing these 2 things don’t work
