I recently got this heart leaf philodendron. When I first got her she had 3 leaves, my cat came through and ATE THEM , I later found out that this plant is toxic to cats and should have had my cat in a lot of pain. It didnt look like that when I found the evidence. And then she ate it again when the new leaf grew in! How do I get her to stop without traumatizing her because shes so skiddish already
spray the whole thing down with vinegar or citrus. cats HATE the smell and will avoid it. also offer your cat plants that are safe for her to eat, like cat grass. unfortunately she loves her greens 🤷♂️ but giving her edible plants will at least prevent her from making herself sick

I’ve done all that and more and my cats still eat plants. Unfortunately there’s no one set rule that’s gonna work for every plant in every environment and with every cat. 😮💨 Can you move this somewhere kitty can’t reach? Good luck!

I’ve tried everything with one of my cats that loves certain plants. I’ve had to find spots for them that he can’t get to. It’s the only thing that works. And he does get sick but I guess he’s too dumb to stop going back!! 😂😂 You may need to put a floating shelf up. I’ve found that is the best solution. God speed! 💚💚

Stick plastic forks prongs up in the plant to deter the cat

Put the plant out of reach. I’ve seen videos where cats jump when they walk on aluminum foil.
