Anyone know the variety? Got it on clearance at Lowe's a couple months ago, chopped a lot of leaves, and she's finally looking healthy.

    Love this plant!!! Looks similar to one I got at my local nursery couple months back. Labeled as a red Congo. I would lean a little on the black cardinal side though, as the red Congo has some yellow and a very deep reddish maroon variegation in my little guy “cherry poppins”. Nice find!! With that all said I think you will know for sure when a few new leaves pop.

    So when I saw this I thought red Congo too, I have one and also a black cardinal. Here they are for comparison
