    The circles ⭕? I don't think so. The best way I've found to describe them is Patrick's house on SpongeBob.

      Yes I was referring to the little circles, they’re all over my paraíso verde and I was concerned that it might be scale 😭🥲

      When you say that, is it just round and flat or round like a stump?

      Soniatl, is it on the leaves as well? Or just the petioles?

      LittleMorningLatte there are some that have differences in color, but this is primarily the shape. They could also be flatter, but they do have a dome shape.

    These are not pests they are little scars from extra floral nectarines (EFNs). Paraíso verde does this a lot, mine does too as do a lot of other philos. The plant is producing nectar which would be eaten by insects in the wild, but if there are no insects to eat them they sit on the leaf of petiole and kind of burn the plant a little making the scar your seeing. It doesn’t hurt the plant, but if you notice little drops of nectar on the plant you can wipe it away.

    Here’s mine, you can see the drops of nectar in the middle of the scars. You can see from her most recent leaf that she is nice and healthy
