Hii! New user here! My name is liv, I absolutely love the plants but I also want to make sure my kitty doesn’t get to them. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on how to keep my cat away from these beautiful plants? I just moved into my apartment and plan on getting shelves and bookshelves that way i can put some plants there but I know these bigger plants are going to be hard on a shelf.

My cats don’t bother my large plants. I have a Monstera, split leaf philodendron, and two 3 foot dragon trees and they don’t bother them at all. Now my daughters dragon tree, it used to be about a foot tall before one of my cats got into it. It’s got two full length leaves now. All the rest are about 2 inches long. 😬 I will say, it’s considered toxic, along with my heart leaf philodendron and my aloe plant. Those are the four they have gotten into and the cats are always just fine afterwards. But I don’t think they eat them, just chew them off. I don’t typically chance it, but every once in a while they’ll get a wild hair up their bum and go hopping up on dressers they don’t usually get on and chew up things they ought not. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

My cats are relentless (they even eat fake plants) so all my plants are on shelves, in my greenhouse cabinet, or hanging. That’s the only way I’ve managed to spare my plant babies from my fur babies.
