My lil pink princess has been working on a new leaf for a couple days now. Today it’s new leaf that hasn’t even got off the cataphyll is currently making its own new leaf as well. Not sure if it’s going to make either leaf full size since it’s working on two now. This happen for anybody else?
happens with my philodendrons all the time. never affects the size of either. usually means that the one unfurling is taking too long though. when i notice them starting to kink and bend out, i take a wet q-tip and run it through the cataphyll to free it.

1 like lool i do that when the q tip just won't get it. q tip is definitely less damaging though, highly recommend

It generally happens when humidity dips. I have it happen with a few of my philos. The real drama queens will end up losing the first leaf with help but normally it’s not a real issue. Just recommend increasing humidity. Godspeed! 💚💚
