New leaves coming out of new leaves. Is this a normal thing? I’ve never seen this from my other philodendrons. My humidity averages 60% but I could always move it to my sunroom where I keep the humidity higher for my calatheas 🤨

laura 🩷🪴It’s totally normal for them to push new leaves while others haven’t finished yet — upping the humidity may help with keeping leaves from getting stuck!

plantgeekthis is a sign for poor conditions, the plant is giving up on those new leaves. check the light level, how much are you watering, when was last fertilizer? this is NOT normal, those previous leaves will never finish unfurling.

It was 10” from a 35w grow light and right beside my humidifier. I moved it to my sunroom instead where the humidity is 70 and has both sun and grow lights. And I discovered the soil was quite dense and wet + the pot was too big for its root system so I had downsized the pot right after this pic with an airier mix.

ok, it was probably to do with the roots then. hopefully these next leaves get to unfurl
