He’s not getting better 😭 (that I can tell) he’s lost two more leaves since I’ve repotted him, and I trimmed down the unhealthy stems as much as I could without hurting the healthy parts; but is there more I can do? He looks so sad compared to when I got him 😭

Does it have a foam piece around the roots. I just had to repot mine and pull that out. It was suffocating the plant. That and netting.

I didn’t see anything like that when I was repotting him but if he doesn’t start perking up soon I may check again just to be sure 🥹

The pot seems really big for a plant that size. How big is the root ball? The plant may be trying to fill the pot with roots before it makes any more new leaves

The pot he was in seems small for his roots which is why we upsized him, he used to be a lot more full and outwardly big, but his leaves started falling off cause he was way overwatered (I hadn’t realized I didn’t take out the stoppers on the drainage holes of the pot) and so that’s when I repotted him. He has a solid root base; just his poor little stems and leaves are lacking 😭

But that gives me hope nonetheless! 🥰 maybe he’s just adjusting to the new pot and soil 🥹

As long as the root ball is well sized for the pot, I'd just give him a chance to settle. Some of my plants get dramatic with repots too. I usually leave them alone for a month before I start to worry that there's an underlying issue beyond their "I liked being cramped up in my old pot better!" whining 😂

Hopefully he’s just being a drama king and will mellow out 😂😭 I’ll definitely post again one way or the other with an update 🥹

You may pull those roots out and check for rot! If that’s the case, spray heavily with alcohol/water and cut off the rot.

When I repotted about a week ago now, the roots looked and smelled fine and I washed off all of the old soil and repotted with new soil in a slightly larger pot since he seemed a little cramped in his old pot. I’ve only lightly watered him once since then since he was pretty waterlogged and I haven’t watered him since; someone had said he may just need some time to adjust to a new pot/soil but do you think I should check his roots again? 😭 I just don’t want to disturb him more than I need to 🥺

I understand that! Maybe just play the waiting game! Patience is key
