My philodendron brasil has been slow-growing, with only one vine emerging. I had read online that you can take the vine with aerial roots and gently place them in the soil, which should encourage growth. However, none of my other leaves or growth have improved. I was wondering if anyone could help?
Hi there, don’t despair! I personally have found that my philo brasils have been slower growers compared to other vining plants like pothos etc. They also slow down when it hits autumn/winter so depending on where you are in the world, that might be happening. If you’re not seeing issues, just keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll see growth eventually. Best of luck with this lovely planty! 🌿🌿🌿

1 like She’ll bounce back :) I’m a chronic underwaterer and have never killed my philo brasils. They are so forgiving :)

They absolutely do bounce back, as others have said. I killed a few vines on mine by overwatering. Underwater ehen in doubt. They will recover, but when root rot sets in from overwatering, it will die! I just got a new plant yesterday from a nursery, and it looks like it is in great shape, so I will be combining with my other one and will hopefully see it start growing again come spring!
