Hello everyone! Happy Father’s Day to all plant dads and regular ones. I think my grandmother has overwatered my golden philodendron by a lot and she is severely yellowed/discolored. What should I do/tell my Gigi to do while I am still away?
Change out the wet soil: Remove the mushy smelly roots. Rinse the bare roots with hydrogen peroxide to disinfect. Clean and disinfect the pot/tools. Use fresh soil.

좋아요 1개 Also, you might have to reduce the pot size after trimming the roots. Extra soil will lead to root rot even without overwatering. The plant can’t use up all the water in the soil before the roots start to rot.
