Hi! So I’m confused as to why my philodendron birkin is leaning so much. I mist regularly and have a grow light on (although due to getting home late I’ve had it on less) what am I doing wrong??

Usually, plants will lean over if they aren’t evenly getting enough light. So, what your birkin is doing is just gravitating towards the light. The typical solution is to rotate the plant every now and then so each leaf can get enough light. But if it’s bothering you too much, you could also get a stake or dowel and clip it on to straighten it out a little. I would still rotate it even if you put it in the stake though. I also advise against misting, as it does not actually provide humidity to the plant. So, try looking into humidifiers if you can.

Also check to see if the plant is stable, so make sure that it’s rooted well in the soil.

You may need to put the grow light on a timer. Tropical plants need about 10 hours of light.

I was walking through the house twice a day like those people in ancient times that light street oil lamps. My two dogs followed behind me like a parade! 😂🪔
