Okay so I'm not at home at the moment. Feel free to look thru my page for it, but I do need help. My black gold philodendron hasn't grown since I've had it. Every time it has tried, the leaves have browned. Is this a humidity issue? Should I fertilize? I have moved the grow light since this picture over my Chinese money plant and it gets it from the same light as well, just a lil further back so it isnt as intense. I regret cutting it in half, but I unfortunately did. I just need help as this is one i rly wanted to thrive..

To start with, it looks like it is in too big of a pot should probably be in a 4-6” Is the soil really chunky?

Yes. It's bark, perlite, cocofiber mix.

This mix is good for plants that need lots of air to the roots with a fast drying mix like orchids, bromeliads and hoyas. I include about 30 percent standard potting soil (peat based) to retain some moisture.🍀🪴

Downsize the pot, plant is putting all its energy into growing roots rather than new growth!

I actually just set mine up similarly (but use potting soil, charcoal, bark, perlite, inoculant, and gypsum). And it started growing really well. Start misting it, that helped stop the leaf browning for me.

To add to all these, I’d search YouTube for videos on the melano. They’re notoriously hard even for philo experts
