~6 months into my houseplant obsession (my life raft since a traumatic breakup in April) & I have made my first moss pole!!!! I got a good sized Burle Marx Philo for $14 on marketplace and boy, look at those roots reaching!! I have been worried about needing to train a plant, like a Pothos, to climb, but clearly this Burle is begging for it. I am so excited for this new step in my plant journey. It feels like a deeper commitment to the plant itself; I now have the means & skill to encourage my other climbers. Neem oil smells funny but it also smells like no pests! Moss poles look ugly but also look like a trust fund. Thanks for being here.
