Am I crazy or is my bloody mary giving me twin leaves? Also does anyone else have issues with their leaves getting stuck in the sheath? None of my other philodendrons really have this issue! I’ve only had one other get stuck but this plant has had like 10
How do you know it’s stuck or just taking a while? I have only my one and it’s putting out two leaves at once as well, but I don’t know how long it should take but don’t want a leaf being stuck either
0개 좋아요 Mine get bent at funky angles when they’re stuck! It’s looks pretty obvious, the base of the leaf starts protruding more and more but the tip stays stuck in the sheath so it makes a little loop

Ahhh, one of mine is halfway to that kind of bend, I’ll spray spray it with some gently warm water and move it closer to the humidifier, and check if it needs water then, thank you

When the leafs unfurl they create these hard shell offshoots that may open a new leaf later after the other is open

My Bloody Mary has a tendency to do the same thing. Many of the erubescens hybrids seem to do it. Misting the leaf will help. It boils down to humidity. Godspeed! 💚💚

I echo leafygreenhouse. My Bloody Mary philo does the same thing and I spray it two mornings in a row and it usually opens fine. I chalk it up to a healthy philo as mine spits out new leaves almost weekly it seems.

I don’t spray mine due to EFNs but I will help it out gently.
