Does anyone have any luck/tips with growing Melanochrysum? This is my 3rd attempt at getting one to mature. I heard they’re more finicky when younger but will grow out of it once more established…just gotta keep em alive til they get there😭 I appreciate any advice on watering, lighting, substrate/media, moss poles, etc. Thanks!🌱
When they are small or cuttings, a humidity dome of some kind is the best way I've had them flourish. I have a crap ton of micans which are very similar lol, pink, mint, varigated, normal. They are one of my favorites along with my normal and var melano

0 Mi piace Nope. You can always sanitize with a 1:3 peroxide, or with a product like growsafe. But I don't usually, and no issues. One of my current set ups with cuttings I've been neglecting 😑
The melanochrysum has actually attached itself to the lid as it grew upwards. Its gonna be fun to detach 🙄

You definitely need to put it on a moss pole or other support to get it to mature. Sydney Plant Guy in YouTube has a lot of good videos on this plant.
2 Mi piace ugh he’s the reason I maintain my delusion that I, too, can have a thriving, mature melano lol. anyways, should I wait for it to acclimate(I just got her yesterday) or just immediately put her on a moss pole?
0 Mi piace I would put it on a moss pole asap. The sooner it starts to climb the sooner it’ll be happy. Here is mine that was only a few leaves back in March. I put it on a pole the day after I got it
