My pink princess philo just put out this messed up leaf. All the other leaves are fine, the only thing I can think of is that it moved to a different spot on the table it’s been on. Is that it or what else could have caused this?

    I don’t know the same thing happened to me and I think it’s the lack of nutrients in the soil It happened with both of my philodendron pink princess and white princess

    it can happen due to low humidity. the casing of the leaf dries out and pops open, making the leaf rip. misting or a humidifier will fix it

      Thanks for answering! It’s right beside my humidifier but I also don’t run my humidifier 100% of the time. Do you think it could still be a humidity issue?

      probably not then. pink princess philos are notorious for refusing to unfurl their leaves. if you notice it's taking a while, use a damp q-tip or wet your fingers (be careful) and forcefully separate the leaf. this will prevent it from tearing, and should let the leaf unfurl properly.
