I got my first philodendron (white wizard) 5 days ago. Since then the white part on the leaves is starting to turn brown. I put a small humidifier by her 2 days ago and have been running that in the morning for about 4 hours. Is the brown due to the humidity change from the nursery and my home? Should I run the humidifier daily? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

    By contrast, White wizard that gets overwatered will often show yellow and brown marks on its leaves at the same time.

    On many variegated plants the white will eventually turn brown and crisp up, so I would just keep an eye on it to see if it spreads to the green, in which case it’s a problem

    Check for root rot. make sure you have it in well draining soil. When plants are changing environments they have to acclimate so don’t change too many things from how they were when you got it. I use a mix of tropical soil, perlite, and orchid bark and it has bright indirect light
