    Sap, or water coming out of the plant, it's normal

      ^^ agree My philodendron does the same and has a peppery aroma to the sap

    Are they new? And just on the undersides of the leaves, not the top?

      Most likely extrafloral nectaries. Totally benign but might cause some orange spots on the leaves depending on lighting and whether you wipe them off regularly

      I believe one purpose for them in the wild is that they help attract beneficial bugs, including ants. It’s probably not enough to attract them with just one plant but keep an eye out
