I accidentally broke a leaf from the sheath on my new White Wizard. I’m new to plants and was wondering, is it going to grow back and if so, how long does it take?

    Should be fine. The leaf itself won't grow back, but it will allow new foliage to grow

    looks like a sucker leaf. probably wont grow back but it was a weak one anyways

      Basically a weaker, smaller leaf that grows in-between real leaf stalks. Its called a sucker because when growing produce, its a useless branch that takes energy away from the rest of the plant and wont produce fruit. Its perfectly fine in houseplants and doesnt hurt the plant at all, but im not surprised it fell off. Dont go pruning all of your suckers bc they do have a purpose to a healthy plant, but i wouldnt panic if one fell off or browned, either. I would only prune them if the plant is diseased or dying. Theyre basically expendables.
