I just acquired this pink princess, it's my first philodendron. I think the larger leaves look pretty healthy, but the smaller leaves at the base look a little unhappy. Is there anything I can do to give it a boost?

Mine kinda looked like that when I got it from Home Depot. The leaves were that exact color and I thought it was dying. I did change the soil because I did not like the Home Depot soil so I put it in a chunky mix and just gave it some light and followed my schedule and it’s doing really good.

Yes I was thinking of changing the soil and maybe giving it something to climb. It came in the post so it probably didn't like that much.

you can take off the lower leaves that are on their way out. plants will drop old ones to make room for and focus on growing new ones! though if more leaves start yellowing/falling off at a faster rate, then something is wrong. i would probably repot after a week or two once it has acclimated to your house. good luck!

I'd remove any lower leaves that were wilted. I'd definitely repot, not sure what that is a mix of. This is a self heading plant that's highly tissue cultured, so the bottom leaves are either the oldest leaves, or they are new pups. These look like the older leaves, which is why they're smaller than the new top growth too. This is an orange. But you can see the older leaf on top, but under they are shinier as they are a pup growing

Looks like it, yes. So you can wait till it gets bigger, and then separate it. I usually wait till I do a repot.
