My two new starter plants! Philodendron Majestic and El Choco Red! I’m excited about these two but curious how soon I should put them on a pole/support. They’re still little babies and only in 3” pots so I don’t think anytime too soon. Also the leaf on the majestic got a little bent during shipping but it’s already starting to sort itself out.

Put them on poles ASAP. They really do benefit from having them early on.

Do you have any recommendations on what to use when they’re this small without needing a huge pot?

You can use sticks or small branches. I've even seen people using copper wire, anything they can use for support. They will sprawl until they find support and that's when they'll start attaching and growing bigger and more mature

You could even make a smaller diameter of moss pole, I wouldn't make them more than a foot tall if they're under 2inches in diameter though

I have some old reusable chopsticks that I don’t use. I think I might try that. They’re like a plastic material I think. I’m not really sure tbh. 😂

      That would work!
