This was gifted to me. What’s up with the large dried branches? Should I cut them off?

the big old branches are just older stems that have been cut to propogate the plant! when did you get it? if its been a week or two you can repot and separate the (green) plants from the big older stems. they look like theyve been in there a while, so hopefully they have a good amount of roots to be on their own :)

Will the large dried up branches sprout new growth eventually or have they “died”?

they MIGHT grow more sprouts if you take the pups off, but i think chances are low

Check to see if the old stumps and any aerial roots are completely dried out. You can cut off the dead parts.

My elephant ear has stopped having babies and has lost a few leaves. Thought it might be the chlorine in the water so I now use purified water. Still no babies. Can't figure out watering schedule. It doesn't like a lot of water 😕
