I just bought this at Target. It says it’s a white wizard. I’m new to philodendrons. Any tips on how to help this little lady thrive?

Chunky soil (bark, perlite, etc), bright indirect light, and just water when the soil is dry

What do I do about the brown on the leaves?

I would cut them off… that way the plant focuses on the roots and new growth. But that is a personal preference

Do you cut just the brown off or the whole leaf?

I had the same problem with the same plant from Target. I had to cut off half of my leaf, like down the center. The rest of the leaf is doing great. Good luck!

Hi! I’m wondering about repotting white princesses. Deep pots or shallow pots? Snug pot or if I upsize will I get a larger plant? Thank you😊

I got one too! I keep it next to my humidifier and under a grow light! I didn’t cut off the whole leaf just the drown since the leaf can still benefit the plant! I water when 75%-100% dry.

Based on the coloring of the stems, I think this is a white knight and not a wizard. The care tips you’ve received are good. Cutting off the brown is alright but you’ll be doing it frequently as the large white variegation can’t photosynthesize because it lacks chlorophyll, so they’ll turn brown. You don’t need to cut the entire leaf. I propagated mine in March and made 4 new plants, and gave away 1. They’re pretty hardy, so you’ll do fine
