Juniper

Hello, everyone. So this is my very first Pink Princess Philodendron. When I first got her, her half-moon leaf was a vibrant pink. But from then to now I noticed that her pink has faded. Almost looks sun bleached? Is that normal? I should add that she’s been working hard to grow a new leaf (the stem in the center) which I accidentally broke off by touching it and applying too much pressure.

You might need more light? What’s the lighting conditions like where she’s at?

She’s in bright indirect light, I make sure she stays in the shade but gets plenty of light on my porch

Usually when they lose their colors, it’s due to the lack of light, so if she’s getting penalty of light, that wouldn’t be the issue. Have you repotted recently? Anything that could have Induced stress? I’m sorry this is happening 😖

I swapped her with my purple passion plant which gets more full on morning sun. I hope it helps! Thank you for the reply!

These types of plants don’t photosynthesize as effectively as green plants so they need extra light. An eastern window would be good for a little direct morning light or a few feet back from a southern window

I put her in a spot on my porch which faces east and gets a lot more sun. Thank you for the advice!
