I got this Ghost today at Costco. It came in plastic lined basket. It probably won’t allow air or moisture to escape. Is that a good environment for this plant? Bright indirect light is what the nursery recommends. For that sound right?

My Costco plants have been fine in their original containers. 4 of 8 I've purchased are still in their store bought pots and thriving a year or 2 later (4 outgrew their pots). Just make sure you pour out any excess water after watering your plant so that it's not overwatering itself and care for it as it demands and you should be fine. Also jealous of that ghost - I've never seen my Costco offer anything like that!

Good to know. I was worried that the lined basket would keep the soil around the roots too wet

The plants I get from Costco are a nursery pot within a pot. As long as you remember to pour out any excess water that's in the basket after watering, you should be fine. If your plant didn't come with an inner pot, then yes, I would move it into a nursery pot and plop it back in that basket.

But do they keep the roots too wet?

1 likeOnly thing that can keep the roots to wet is over watering. Water when the soil is dry and the plant will be just fine!😊🪴
2 likesNo. Not if after u water ur plant and let it stand for 10-15 minutes. And then put it back in that plastic planter until next watering.
3 likesI didn’t leave my ghost in that pot. But I do have other plants in that pot. And they are doing great
