Question……I’m wanting to repot my philo so I can put in her these gold stands. Will the plastic grey one with just one hole in the bottom be ok?

    It looks to be plastic. I would drill a much larger hole plus a few around the perimeter. The perimeter looks lower than center and would retain water.

      Oh yes. I rarely use plastic but you’re doing it as an inner pot. For a philo it is fine.

      Just an fyi in case you are not aware, always empty the outer pot after watering. Give it time to completely drain first.

    Only repot when there are more roots than soil in the pot. The new pot should be only 1-2 inches wider than the old pot to prevent root rot from too much soil holding moisture too long on the roots. 🪴🍀

    Well the new plastic pot is actually smaller but it looks to me like it would be ok because the plant in only in the very center and has a lot of room around it. Phil when you say empty the outer pot you mean the water that drains out of all plant pot? I plan on raising the plant with rocks on the bottoms then putting a little dish under the plant pot to let the excess water drain into and yes I can pour the excess water out. Hope that makes sense.

      Yes. The water that drains from the inner pot into the outer pot should be dumped out. The goal is not to have the inner pot sitting in water. Even if not sitting in the water, that water will get nasty very quickly.

    I would drill few more holes especially it’s plastic
