Heyy I got this Pink Philodendron for my birthday and I really don’t want it to die. Would anyone be able to help me? She was inside with a grow light and I think I over watered her. The weather has gotten warmer so I out her outside in the shade hut she is still dying not sure what to do. I chnaged her soil as well bc it was orchid bark. I got a soil for her specifically and put a pole. Please help😭
I can't quite tell, but the soil does look quite wet. If you did all those things at once, it's probably a bit of shock as well. Generally when I get a new plant, I don't bother it for the first few days to let it get acclimated to its new environment. After that, I usually just water as needed, so no major changes for a while like weeks, maybe months until it's thriving. I would say give it some time to get used to all the changes and wait until its really dry before you water it again. I would bring it back inside under the grow light as well since you can control that light.

Don’t panic yet, this plant can definitely recover 🙂 From the photo it looks like the plant is mainly stressed from a mix of overwatering and being moved around too much. Pink Princess philodendrons hate when their roots stay wet for too long, and switching from inside under a grow light to outside can shock them as well. A couple things I would do: Firstly make sure the soil mix is very chunky and well draining. These do much better in an aroid mix (orchid bark, perlite, chunky soil) rather than regular potting soil. Second bring it back inside in bright indirect light and let it stabilize. Outside shade can still be too intense or too dry depending on the climate. Also don’t water again until the top half of the pot dries out. Right now the plant is stressed so keeping it slightly on the dry side is safer. The good news is the main stem still looks healthy and there’s green tissue, so it should push new growth once the roots recover.
