Hi hi! Question! My billietiae seems super happy BUT isn’t putting out its new leaf? It kinda just keeps putting out sap. It’s not overwatered. Honestly have probably only watered it twice since getting her almost two months ago I think? I repotted and have given arber plant food! Any idea what the issue could be??? lol I’m at a loss.

When I repot plants, I’ve noticed that sometimes they focus on growing new roots for a while before they go back to growing leaves. As for the sap, my philodendron paraiso verde is also a rather sticky one lol. There’s a name for it… nectarines maybe 🤔

Ahhh yes I’ve seen nectar on some comments! Just was wondering if it was telling me it’s overwatered somehow but you reminded me of others talking about it being normal! I’ve never had a “big” plant so that makes a lot of sense about focusing on roots!! Hopefully it’ll put out a leaf soon!!! Thank you!

Oh gotchya. I think when water drips from the bottom of the leaf, it’s getting rid of excess water. But some people say it happens for different reasons. Maybe you were thinking of that too Last time I repotted my monstera delicosa it took about two months for it to start pushing leaves again. So you should be seeing progress soon then, I would guess
