😱 I’ve just noticed these little brown spots on my Pheel so I’ve got some of this fungicide coming tomorrow. Any idea what it is and will the spray be enough? Note: He’s been banished to the garden until further notice.

2개 좋아요That's scale. It's an insect, not a fungus unfortunately. The only way I was able to remove the problem was by tweezing them all off individually :( beware of having them out in the garden. They secrete a sweet gel that ants love so it isn't uncommon to see them both in a scale infested plant. They'll even go as far as to protect it so they can keep their food source lol

Will diatomaceous earth help if sprinkled on the soil? Sorry for all the questions, this is my first problem plant and I’d love to help him get better. ❤️🩹

좋아요 1개So… I couldn’t find any bugs on Pheel at all. He’s been wiped down with neem oil, Castile soap and water. I’ll get a proper copper based fungicide and treat him next week as I’m pretty sure it’s a fungus and not insect.
