Hello!!! My Heart Leaf Philo is not looking good, I’m not sure why. Here’s some background information: •I haven’t repotted for about a year (but this pot was a jump for it • I water it every week maybe more or so • It’s less sturdy but doesn’t smell of rot or look like it has rot •A lot of yellow leaves

the fact that its just the one leaf means it killed that leaf on purpose. The plant is struggling and choosing to downsize. Since you said the pot was a jump, check for root rot and repot in new soil, in a pot it barely fits in.

I already checked for rot, is there any other reason this could be happening?

If the rest of the plant is healthy, cut off the diseased leaf so it stops taking energy from the rest of the plant and call it a day. Maybe theres nothing wrong and the plant just decided to screw that leaf in particular 🤷‍♀️ Now, theres a bit of discourse on what to do with dying leaves, some say to leave it until its completely dead, but i would say to cut it off earlier so the plant can focus on new growth rather than dealing with a deteriorating leaf. Any problem children leaves get cut off in my house 🔪

I’m wondering if it’s overwatering. “Every week, maybe more” seems like it could be too much.

I only do it every week because it’s placed in a dry place. I’ve had this plant for 2 years now and he has always loved the water once a week in his current location. I jumped up a few sizes on the pot because he was very rapidly growing roots and I checked recently the roots are fine/heathy and white. I also always make sure it fully dries out hence why I put ‘maybe more or so’
