Are the stems on my lemon lime philodendron supposed to be pink how do I get it more lemon lime 🪴🩷

    Some of the new growth tips might be light colored. Mine have never been pink. But, I have seen pink on the new sheathing of my philodendron Brasil. You might need more fertilizer.

    I'd agree. My first thought was more light, I its not bright-ish and feed it

      I was wondering if it was bright yellow because of too much or too little light. I thought it could be sun/heat stressed like my queen of the night cactus that turns highlighter yellow in direct sun and high heat, 100°F. Also, I thought it would look more like it was dying if it was in too low light. But, the yellow leaves look healthy like my hoya krimson queen that was happy to put out all white healthy leaves for over a year. Then, I thought it could possibly be a nutrient deficiency that fertilizer could fix. So many possibilities. Plants can make you crazy with worries 🤦‍♀️😁

      I was thinking more light because the lighter leaves seemed to be on the other side from the window? But they could all be newer growth. Or even a newer nodal section.

    Yes it's only a 6-in plant so it's pretty young thank you I will try it fertilizing and bright and direct light like most of the plants? It's actually the same color basically as my neon pothos but actually the neon pothos has more color but very similar

      I don't have a lemon lime, I have a classic splash and a Gabby. But I definitely notice a difference if light isn't on point. The splash is just off to the side of a south window, that gets sone direct morning light, and then indirect the rest of the day. My Gabby is 12" from a Barrina T8- 5,000k lumens full spectrum.

      My other question might be, did it change color, or has ot always had this color. I'm which case it may just be how that variation grows. Lemon lime is a bit newer, and they aren't always super consistent

    No it's always been this color but I'm glad you told me what kind of grow lights I need to get for my sunroom and for my darker areas 😎🙏🪴

      Those ones actually came with a little greenhouse from Amazon. I really like it. And have bought the lights seperate too.

    Hey how expensive is the electric bill with the grow lights? I'm thinking LED

      All of mine are LED. Just the greenhouse didn't add much. Id say like $5 a month. I'm up to like $90 a month vs $60. That's with like 12 sets of lights on 12-16hrs a day.
