Looking for advice on my Ring of Fire. When I got her back in June she had bright orange variegation. It has since settled into more of a lime green. Am I doing something wrong? 😭 she’s under a grow light set to 12hrs, and gets watered and fertilized regularly. I’ve also noticed her new little ‘flames’ (leaves)dry out really easily, so I’m wondering if she’s just too close to the light?
The orange is supposed to slowly fade to greenish over time as the leaf matures. Typically if you don’t have new leaves growing in fast enough to always have at least 1-2 orange variegated leaves then you should increase your fertilizer schedule. Also 12 hours of light isn’t long enough for them, mine is in 15 hours and under a very bright light. The drying up is probably from low humidity, I keep them 55-66% to stop them from drying or new leaves getting stuck.
this is normal. the variegation only stays orange for so long. probably too close to the light though
