I have quite a few philodendrons and have never seen growth like this. I recently got this philodendron ring of fire and this is its first growth with me, so I’m not sure if it’s normal. Is this a flower or is this shape normal leaf growth? It does seem to have a stem under the bulb inside the petiole sheath but I’m not sure if it could still be a flower? Google images aren’t helping me so I wanted to see if anyone recognizes this and if you recommend removing it

0개 좋아요 You could cut it off and the plant would reroute the energy back into leaf growth. It’s completely up to you

좋아요 1개Flower! My Philodendron ROG put out 2 this year. They take forever to open up. I chose to leave mine on the plant instead of cutting and I still had tons of new leaf growth, it didn’t slow it down at all!
