I have quite a few philodendrons and have never seen growth like this. I recently got this philodendron ring of fire and this is its first growth with me, so I’m not sure if it’s normal. Is this a flower or is this shape normal leaf growth? It does seem to have a stem under the bulb inside the petiole sheath but I’m not sure if it could still be a flower? Google images aren’t helping me so I wanted to see if anyone recognizes this and if you recommend removing it

0 J'aime You could cut it off and the plant would reroute the energy back into leaf growth. It’s completely up to you

1 j'aimeFlower! My Philodendron ROG put out 2 this year. They take forever to open up. I chose to leave mine on the plant instead of cutting and I still had tons of new leaf growth, it didn’t slow it down at all!
