I got this mystery plant today from BWH. Planta says it’s a heart leaf philodendron. Does that look correct to you, my plant friends? I have a lot of plants, but this would be my first philodendron. ETA more pictures

    No, heart leaf philodendron’s are a draping plant that’s upright. Not sure what it is, still could be a type of philodendron thou

      TBH the base looks like a monstera to me. That’s what I thought it was until I checked on planta.

      This is really interesting. All my reverse image searches do say philodendron and specifically the heart leaf variety. I’m wondering if it’s just so young that it hasn’t started to Vine yet? I have about 18 Pothos and philodendrons and some of them do grow upright 🤷🏻‍♀️

      Thank you for checking that for me! AI suggested a young monstera when I showed the base picture when I showed a side picture it said Philodendron rugosum. I wish it came with a name!

      Ooh look at it drooping in the one photo though! I mean these things definitely aren’t 100% foolproof when it comes to AI, etc. Maybe time will make it easier to tell.
